CRX50
i bought this simply due to reviews on how well it works and power consumption, only rated 3 stars as i have not used it yet. installation is simple and it looks nice, how ever i am a little disappointed in the build quality, having swapped the door over to open from the right i found a number of screws just rotating so clearly self tapping and over tightened on assembly and the door is not a great fit despite adjustments .
for the money i would expect better. hopefully i ll forget these issues if it works as good as they say. -
Excellent Fridge
Low draw on electricity, gets cold very quickly including the freezer. Slight noise every now and then when it needs a surge but overall nice and quiet. Looks good, fits a lot in. Overall, if you can afford it, go for it! Great fridge and one I hope will last a long time in my current van conversion and any future ones.

CRX50 Fridge
Delivery was a couple of days late (probably due to Covid) this wasn't a problem for me.
Easy enough to swap the door around as I ended up doing it twice lol...got all excited with my new purchase thinking door would work hung on the left ...placed it in position in my SWB T5.1 then realised I could swap shelving around or take the freezer compartment out as the door didn't swing enough due to hitting front seats in van.So if you're reading this and are fitting CRX50 into a transporter save yourself the time of switching the door as it needs to be hung from the right hand side of fridge -
Dometic CRX50 fridge
Having graduated to a 'proper' fridge after our old gas fridge died, I have to say that this little beauty is awesome! The Tardis has nothing on this fridge, and although its exterior measurements are the same as our old fridge, the interior space seems twice as big. It is, quite simply, an amazing little cooling system. We use it without the freezer compartment, which necessitates a wipe over the inside ceiling a few times a day (we were told about this) to remove condensation and build up of ice. A fantastic piece of technology in every way, and running off our 12v system, uses far less juice than I would have imagined.
