30 amp MPPT Charge Controller included

The PV Logic 300w Solar Panel Kit also comes supplied with a 30 amp MPPT (Maximum power point tracking) Charge Controller which increases panel efficiency, protects the battery from being overcharged and also prevents reverse current drain.

What is an MPPT Controller?

An MPPT, or maximum power point tracker, is an electronic DC to DC converter that optimizes the match between the solar array (PV panels), and the battery bank in your campervan, caravan or motorhome.

To put it simply, they convert a higher voltage DC output from solar panels down to the lower voltage needed to charge batteries.

Optional Adventurer DC-DC Trickle Charger

As an ideal accompaniment to the PV Logic 300 watt solar panel kit, the Adventurer DC-DC Trickle Charger can also charge the leisure battery in your campervan or motorhome whilst driving as is standard for DC to DC chargers. However, the unique feature of this Adventurer DC-DC trickle charger is that, if the leisure battery is fully charged and the engine (starter) battery is below 12.6v, it will trickle charger the starter battery to keep it in optimal condition. 

The benefit of this leisure to engine battery charging is that should the vehicle be in uncovered storage for an extended period of time, the leisure battery (being charged from the solar panel kit) will trickle charge the starter battery preventing a flat  battery when you need it most. No more holiday delays due to a campervan or motorhome failing to start!
