Firstly, Jackson Leisure have been great. Ordered a lot of stuff from them for our van conversion and all delivered promptly and intact! However... This sky light is rubbish! Admittedly I miscalculated how thich our roof would end up being when I first bought it and we were about 10mm thicker than the maximum this sky light allows (even with the ticker version). So it took a little tweaking with some longer screws and white melamine inside to hide the gap but nonetheless it was relatively easy to install and I don't think this effected any of the major design flaws. The inside frame does not attach to the top frame, at all. It was constantly falling down and a pain to try and reattach, one of the times it fell off was at 5am right onto our heads! Not a pleasant awakening while off gridding. In the end I had to throw 4 screws threw it to keep it attached, not a great look! The screens are horrible to slide, constantly getting stuck and just not smooth at all, this goes for the 'black out' one and the fly screen. But by far the worst is there is no seal anywhere, so rain doesn't exactly get in but bugs and generally anything flying and are attracketd to light at night, they certainly do! The fly screen helps keep them out of the van but not for long as there inherantly gaps in this of coarse, none of it is Air tight. So please know this required some serious modifications in the end!
