The Victron LiFePO4 Battery offers many advantages over traditional lead-acid batteries. These include a 5-year warranty, superior safety with LiFePO4 technology, integrated cell balancing, and the ability to connect batteries in parallel or series. Additionally, the battery supports the Victron Connect App using Bluetooth for monitoring cell voltage, temperature, and alarm status.

Why Lithium-Iron-Phosphate?

LiFePO4 batteries provide several benefits over lead-acid batteries. They are inherently safer, with a lower risk of thermal runaway and fire. LiFePO4 batteries also offer exceptional cycle life, making them ideal for applications that require frequent charging and discharging. Lithium-Iron-Phosphate are more energy efficient, resulting in lower energy consumption and reduced operating costs. LiFePO4 batteries have a wider operating temperature range, faster charging times, and better performance in deep discharge applications.

Efficiency

The Victron LiFePO4 Leisure Battery includes a round trip energy efficiency of 92% comparing the LiFePO4 to lead-acid batteries which can become inefficient when the state of charge is 80% this results in efficiencies of 50% or less compared to the Victron LiFePO4 Leisure Battery which still achieves 90% efficiency under a shallow discharge.
